Since 1968, I have spent my summers vacationing in Mills River, NC (near the Asheville Airport) at our family farm. Western North Carolina became very special to me as my family gathered here to be together every year. We made frequent trips to Asheville and Hendersonville to shop and dine. I have enjoyed watching Asheville grow over the years attracting people from all over the country who have enhanced Asheville’s rich culture and friendly community.
Born in Florida, I spent my formative years in the Orlando area, graduating from Winter Park High School in 1986. I have also lived in Texas, Kentucky and Los Angeles for short periods of time. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics with a Minor in Business from The Florida State University.
In 1996, I decided to make Mills River my home. Shortly after settling in, I became a massage therapist and performed mobile massage traveling all over Asheville and Western North Carolina serving my clients. During that time, I also spent 10 years as a website designer and graphic designer while also providing Search Engine Optimization and marketing.
In 2003, I met my husband, Ed, and we started our venture into real estate, renovating a 1928 bungalow that was slated for demolition. We did everything from repairing a hole in the floor including sistering joists, and laying used, matching flooring, renewing the plumbing in the whole house and replacing all electrical wiring. We made that 5 bedroom and 1 bath house into a 3 bedroom, 2 bath rental home.
I became an Asheville Realtor because I felt my love for helping people, my experience with online marketing and home remodeling all pointed to becoming an agent. Over the years, I have nurtured many relationships with expert tradesmen, contractors, architects and mortgage brokers in the area. I also now have an LLC formed with partners for investing in Asheville real estate.
